What loan rates should I enter? +
Use written lender quotes for the same principal and period. Include processing and switching costs where requested. We do not publish unverified current bank offers or promise that one bank will give every applicant the lowest rate.
What does a quarter-point change save? +
For ₹50 lakh over twenty years, constant rates of 8.5% and 8.25% produce EMIs of approximately ₹43,391 and ₹42,603. The difference is about ₹788 monthly before fees, rather than ₹2,800. Test your own balance and remaining tenure.
Does a lower EMI always mean a cheaper loan? +
No. Extending tenure can lower the monthly payment while increasing total interest. Compare the same remaining period and review total repayment, APR and the lender’s amortisation schedule.
How should I use the transfer estimate? +
Compare estimated interest savings with all switching costs and how long you expect to retain the loan. Rate resets, prepayments, fees and differing schedules can change the result. A fixed model is not a prediction of future floating rates.
